The Honeywell T6 Z-Wave Thermostat is an excellent thermostat to add to your smart short-term rental setup. It supports both heating & cooling, has a c-wire for power, and has worked flawlessly in all of our tests over time. It is easy to install and has a familiar and intuitive interface.

With it’s built-in Z-Wave support, this thermostat ranks very highly in our recommendations because it eliminates most of the concerns we have with security & privacy. This should be a thermostat you really consider for your short-term rental or Airbnb.

Honeywell T6 Z-Wave Thermostat Review
9 10 0 1
For short-term rental hosts, this could be a really great option for you to consider. It supports all types of HVAC setups, and connects via Z-Wave which eliminates most of the concerns with smart thermostats. It's added battery backup is an excellent feature making it one of the top thermostats we recommend. The biggest drawback of this device is the inability to set temperature limits, which can be a major issue in short-term rental scenarios.
